The Role:
We are seeking a Payroll Assistant to manage administrative tasks related to payroll, with a key focus on processing court orders such as earnings attachments, child maintenance, and other statutory deductions.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 18:00 (Mon-Thurs), 08:00 to 17:00 (Fri)
Salary: £26,800
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Remote
Key Responsibilities:
– Accurately process and maintain records for court orders and statutory deductions
– Communicate with government agencies including CMS, HMCTS, and HMRC regarding deductions and orders
– Keep employee deduction records up to date and handle related inquiries
– Ensure timely and accurate payment submissions for court orders
– Provide administrative payroll support including filing, documentation, and employee references
– Assist with audits and compliance checks related to statutory deductions
– Support the broader payroll team as needed
Requirements:
– 1–3 years of experience in payroll or payroll administration
– Familiarity with UK court orders and earnings attachment processes
– Strong skills in data entry and record-keeping
– Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll software
– Professional and discreet when handling confidential information
