Senior Copywriter Role
The Senior Copywriter is a hands-on creative professional who partners with an Art Director to develop and execute campaign concepts. This role involves crafting compelling copy, overseeing content quality, mentoring junior writers, and ensuring all materials meet legal, medical, and regulatory standards while remaining clear and engaging.
Key Responsibilities
– Write content tailored to both patient and healthcare professional audiences
– Collaborate effectively with Designers, Writers, Creative Directors, Developers, Project Managers, and other team members
– Ensure accuracy and quality through meticulous copyediting and proofreading
– Manage and support a Junior Copywriter
– Deliver impactful marketing copy aligned with strategic goals and audience needs
– Contribute to creative development for multichannel campaigns
– Maintain clear communication to keep projects on schedule
– Track and manage all content changes throughout the creative process
– Support new business efforts by contributing to presentations and pitch materials
About You
– Experience in a pharmaceutical advertising agency is required
– 5+ years as a Creative Copywriter; experience in rheumatology, neurology, or dermatology is a plus
– 3+ years of experience creating content for HCP or patient audiences, including digital materials like sales aids, brochures, flashcards, emails, and websites
– Degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
– Strong creative and problem-solving skills within a regulated industry
– A digital portfolio showcasing B2B work, interactive content, pharma marketing, long-form writing, and campaign concepts
– Experience working with designers and developers on responsive digital projects
– Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 per year
