Planet Technologies, a top Microsoft services provider for the public sector, is seeking a motivated Power Platform Developer to join our expanding team. In this role, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects that positively impact the nation.

This position is ideal for an experienced, hands-on Power Platform developer based in the Richmond, VA area. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft Power Platform tools, including PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse.

Responsibilities:

– Design and develop Power Apps and Power Automate solutions (Canvas and Model-driven apps)
– Build and configure Power Pages for both internal and external sites
– Work with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, PowerShell scripting, and SPFx
– Customize, configure, and deploy Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions
– Utilize Microsoft Copilot Studio
– Lead discovery workshops and gather requirements
– Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices
– Troubleshoot issues with D365/Power Platform and collaborate with IT teams to implement solutions
– Create and document design solutions for common scenarios
– Produce and share documentation such as requirements, technical analysis, and recommendations
– Develop mockups/prototypes and propose solutions using D365/Power Platform capabilities
– Follow best practices and help define or refine governance strategies

Required Skills:

– Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse
– PowerApps Professional or Developer certification
– Strong communication skills for both technical and business discussions
– Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into Power Platform solutions
– Preferred experience with DevOps tools for Power Platform (e.g., Power Pipelines, ALM Accelerator)
– Skilled in creating and sharing platform documentation
– Experience developing mockups/prototypes and recommending solutions based on platform features
– Commitment to best practices and governance in solution implementation
– Experience working within an Agile SDLC environment

Salaries for Power Platform Developers range from $80,000 to $180,000, depending on factors such as experience, clearance level, industry background, education, and training.
