PRODUCT ANALYST

Aegis General Insurance Agency Inc., a subsidiary of K2 Insurance Services, is hiring a full-time Product Analyst to join its Product Innovation team. This role is based in Cincinnati, OH, with the option for remote work.

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Product Innovation/Affordable Housing. Candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered for a Senior Analyst role.

Position Overview:

The Product Analyst supports the creation of profitable, competitive, and innovative insurance products. This includes analyzing program data, researching market and regulatory trends, developing new or updated programs based on findings, and defining system requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

– Evaluate product pricing and underwriting strategies to ensure long-term profitability.
– Prepare and analyze regular and ad hoc financial reports using data from various systems.
– Develop and track implementation plans, coordinating with internal and external teams.
– Test new and updated products (rates, rules, forms, outputs) across multiple policy administration systems.
– Assist Product Managers with data analysis, test case development, market and compliance reviews, and filing processes.
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely implementation of program changes.
– Support financial analysis for new initiatives in product development, marketing, and IT.
– Perform additional tasks as needed to help achieve company goals.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. Equivalent experience in product development at an insurance carrier or MGA will also be considered.
– Minimum 3.0 GPA or at least 3 years of relevant experience in underwriting, product development, filings, or compliance—preferably in personal lines property insurance.
– Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
– Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
– Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
– Capable of clearly communicating technical information to various audiences.
– Passion for working with data and solving problems.
– Senior-level candidates should have proven experience in launching or updating insurance programs.
– Willingness to travel several times per year to Aegis/K2 offices or agency partners.
– Experience in Surplus Lines is a plus.
– Professional insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC are a plus.

Salary Range: $65,000–$75,000 per year.
