The Contract Manager, Real Estate is an essential member of Hillspire’s Contract Management team. Reporting to the Director, Contracts and Senior Paralegal, this role centers on drafting, negotiating, and executing operational contracts, as well as identifying and implementing improvements to the contracting process. The position involves close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and shared services teams to maintain clear communication across functions and coordination with specialized legal teams throughout the family office and related entities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Independently review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of contracts and related documents, including confidentiality agreements, leases, purchase agreements, independent contractor agreements, insurance certificates, AIAs, statements of work, amendments, order forms, and asset management agreements
• Develop a deep understanding of Hillspire’s contract templates
• Work with the Hillspire legal team and other Schmidt entities to negotiate terms and incorporate them into templates as appropriate
• Analyze pricing proposals, financial data, and other information in submissions
• Integrate counterparty comments into Hillspire templates and compare legal terms in external proposals, determining which terms are acceptable and which require revision, in coordination with the legal team
• Assess and monitor contract performance to determine the need for amendments, extensions, or compliance measures
• Collaborate with Legal, Corporate Compliance, and Paralegal Operations to maintain templates, the knowledge database, and the clause library, suggesting enhancements
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address contract-related matters and ensure adherence to contract processes
• Manage signatures from authorized signers and ensure contracts are fully executed, working with Corporate Compliance and Paralegal Operations to file draft and final documents
• Take on special projects and handle ad hoc real estate and contract reporting assignments as needed
Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• At least five years of experience as a contract manager or in another relevant legal role
• Background in corporate and/or real estate contracts and transactions

Preferred:
• JD, MBA, or graduate degree in a related field
Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 annually
