The Editorial Designer will be responsible for copyediting and publishing digital curriculum content on the Kiddom platform, as well as editing and publishing additional supporting materials. This role includes overseeing quality assurance processes to ensure that all content for teachers and students is optimized for digital use. Reporting to the Curriculum Product Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience in both print and digital copyediting, proofreading, writing, and project management related to teaching and instructional design. A collaborative mindset is essential.
Responsibilities:
– Create and edit interactive question formats using the Kiddom platform
– Develop and apply standards for proofreading, fact-checking, and copyediting curriculum-aligned lesson materials
– Write and edit supplemental resources that align with existing curriculum
– Review and provide quality assurance feedback on content
– Complete additional tasks as needed to meet project timelines and goals
– Track progress and make necessary adjustments to stay on schedule
Qualifications:
– 3–5 years of project management experience
– 3–5 years of editorial experience
– Strong empathy for educators
– A passion for equitable education improvement
– At least 2 years of instructional design experience
– Exceptional attention to detail
– Ability to manage multiple projects at once
– Strong creative problem-solving skills
Compensation:
$25 per hour
Hourly rate may vary based on location, experience, seniority, and performance during the interview process.
