Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Safety Specialist to join our expanding team. Reporting directly to the Safety Manager, this role supports the implementation, monitoring, and ongoing improvement of safety programs across multiple operational locations. The ideal candidate will promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations. Candidates based in the Midwest or East Coast are preferred due to operational needs in those regions.
Responsibilities
– Program Support: Assist with the rollout of safety programs and initiatives throughout Job&Talent’s U.S. operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
– Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective measures.
– Incident Management: Support incident, accident, and near‑miss investigations and reporting. Contribute to root cause analyses and the implementation of corrective actions.
– Training & Communication: Aid in creating and delivering safety training for onsite personnel and internal teams. Promote awareness of best practices and emergency procedures.
– Regulatory Compliance: Track adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations, and maintain accurate safety documentation.
– Data & Reporting: Help monitor safety metrics, identify trends, and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
– Collaboration: Partner with operations, HR, and field teams to reinforce a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Environmental Health, or a related field preferred.
– At least 3 years of experience in a staffing or light industrial environment with a focus on safety.
– Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
– Experience supporting or implementing multi‑site safety initiatives.
– Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
– Certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, or similar are a plus.
