Responsibilities

– Serve as a subject matter expert in financial crime compliance, including associated risks, controls, best practices, and regulatory standards.
– Act as a Level 2 Compliance reviewer for name screening alerts related to PEPs, Adverse Media, and Sanctions that cannot be resolved by Level 1 Operations.
– Conduct open-source intelligence research, assess the risk of potential true positives, and present findings to senior compliance leaders.
– Collaborate with the team to offer practical guidance on managing financial crime, sanctions, and anti-bribery and corruption risks, while keeping stakeholders updated on relevant developments.
– Evaluate processes for identifying, documenting, and assessing compliance risks tied to Binance’s operations, offering recommendations and constructive feedback.
– Review escalated risk profiles related to financial crime compliance, sanctions, and anti-bribery and corruption, and assess their implications on internal projects, policies, and systems.

Requirements

– Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial crime or sanctions compliance.
– Familiarity with banking operations, systems, and procedures.
– Experience in startups or fintech is advantageous.
– Bachelor’s degree required.
– ACAMS or ACFCS certification is a plus.
– Proficiency in English is essential for coordinating with global teams; additional languages are a bonus.
– Strong analytical and writing abilities, with sound judgment.
– Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex topics clearly.
– Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize tasks independently.
– Confident, results-oriented, and innovative in problem-solving.
– Experience in stakeholder management is beneficial.
