About the Role

The Senior Business Systems Analyst (EBS) at Business Wire supports both business and technology teams by delivering effective technology solutions. This role leads Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) projects aimed at enhancing finance operations, while also maintaining, supporting, and improving EBS applications. The ideal candidate is a hands-on analyst with extensive experience in Oracle Financial modules and a solid grasp of finance and accounting practices.

What You’ll Do

– Provide hands-on development and support for Oracle EBS R12, focusing on Finance modules such as GL, AP, FA, AR, CM, and Revenue Recognition.
– Lead the rollout of software and process enhancements; design solutions that meet business needs.
– Collect and document business requirements in collaboration with Finance team leads.
– Manage and implement finance process improvement initiatives across EBS modules, including system upgrades and Oracle TAR resolutions.
– Create and execute test plans; coordinate testing efforts with users and developers.
– Offer ongoing support and enhancements for financial applications and integrations, such as Esker Invoice Delivery.
– Support financial close processes, including ledger reconciliation, balancing, and FSG reporting.
– Diagnose and resolve issues; coordinate with Oracle Support and internal teams as needed.
– Collaborate with the GRC team to test and document application controls and ensure SOX compliance.
– Identify and recommend opportunities for process automation and improvement, working with Finance leads to prioritize initiatives.
– Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize system enhancements, acting as solution architect and project lead.
– Keep stakeholders informed on project progress and status updates across Finance and IT.

What You’ll Need

– 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting finance applications; a bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
– 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12, especially in Finance modules.
– 5+ years of business analysis experience, including writing ad-hoc Oracle SQL scripts.
– Deep functional knowledge of Oracle modules like GL, AP, FA, AR, and CM.
– Proven success in Oracle GL configuration, including chart of accounts, multi-entity and multi-currency setups, revaluation, intercompany transactions, allocations, consolidations, FSG reporting, and period close.
– Strong understanding of financial accounting, SOX compliance, business processes, and industry best practices.
– Technical knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture and data structures.
– Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple initiatives independently.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000 annually. Final compensation will be based on factors such as education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data. Business Wire reserves the right to adjust this range at any time.
