Who You Are:
Reporting to the Vice President and Corporate Controller, the Senior Manager of Treasury will develop and communicate treasury and risk strategies aligned with Zum’s dynamic business goals. This individual will have a deep understanding of the business, take initiative, think creatively, and build strong relationships across all departments. Externally, they will manage relationships with banks, investment advisors, insurance providers, and other partners.

What You’ll Do:

Capital Structure:
– Collaborate with the Controller to design and implement a capital structure that minimizes cost and ensures liquidity.
– Advise the Executive Team and Board on financing strategies and market trends, and propose risk mitigation plans.
– Secure funding through debt and equity to support long-term growth and maintain financial stability.
– Manage relationships with financial institutions.
– Negotiate favorable debt terms, including fees and covenants.
– Ensure compliance with debt agreements.

Capital Allocation:
– Provide guidance to the Executive Team on market trends and capital allocation strategies, including buybacks, dividends, and growth initiatives.
– Help develop long-term financing plans.
– Define and oversee the company’s investment strategy.

Cash Management and Treasury Operations:
– Oversee daily cash operations.
– Design and implement strategies to optimize cash management (e.g., cash pooling).
– Manage letters of credit and insurance.
– Support sales during contract negotiations and advise on deal structuring.
– Implement a cash management system.
– Maintain cash flow models, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
– Coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate daily liquidity.

Risk Management:
– Negotiate and manage insurance products such as workers’ compensation, D&O, and fleet insurance.
– Safeguard company assets and prevent value loss.
– Manage liabilities and reduce off-balance sheet exposure.
– Oversee the surety bond program.
– Provide risk management support to enable business operations.

Additional Responsibilities:
– Partner with the Controller to design and enforce treasury-related processes and controls.
– Ensure compliance with internal controls.
– Support contract negotiations and execution, offering solutions that protect Zum and its clients.
– Build relationships in capital markets to unlock financing opportunities.

What You Bring to Zum:
– Strong financial and cash flow modeling skills.
– Over 8 years of experience in finance and treasury.
– Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification is a plus.
– Experience with SOX compliance or IPOs.
– Proven leadership and talent development capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this role in California is $153,000 – $184,000, with potential for additional equity or commission-based compensation. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, wellness programs, vacation, and more.
