Insomnia Cookies is rapidly expanding as one of the nation’s top late-night dessert destinations, and we’re currently hiring Shift Leaders for our brand-new location in Hartford, CT! This store will be opening soon at 247 Asylum St, Hartford, CT 06103.

As a Shift Leader at Insomnia Cookies, you’ll take charge of the bakery during your shift, whether it’s day or night. You’ll be expected to “Own the Night” by anticipating business needs and leading your team to success. Your role will involve hands-on responsibilities like preparing orders, upselling, baking, and engaging with customers. You’ll also take pride in creating a fun and productive environment for your team.

What you’ll do as a Shift Leader:
– Deliver top-notch customer service and quality products
– Support store operations during your shift, communicate key updates, monitor efficiency, enforce standards, and help train team members
– Prioritize and assign tasks like baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the team
– Collaborate with and support the Cookie Crew
– Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow food safety protocols
– Handle cash and manage deposits

Preferred skills and experience:
– Minimum of 1 year in a customer service role
– Experience with Point of Sale systems
– Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
– Friendly, outgoing, and patient personality
– Detail-oriented and goal-driven
– Strong leadership and motivational abilities
– Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
