Gopuff is hiring Operations Associates (OAs) to join our operations team. Reporting directly to a Site Leader, OAs are vital to our success and must bring energy, determination, and a positive attitude to the role. Responsibilities include picking and packing orders, receiving and organizing inventory for both our site and kitchen (if applicable), and coordinating with delivery drivers.

Responsibilities:

– Pick and pack customer orders for delivery
– Receive and unpack product shipments, verify inventory accuracy, and resolve discrepancies
– Manage inventory and restock items from canceled orders
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility
– Minimize waste and spoilage by following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
– Communicate with customers about substitutions or out-of-stock items
– Safely handle, scan, and move products
– Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts
– Use equipment like carts, pallet jacks, and dollies to transport items
– Handle products that may include tobacco, nicotine, or alcohol
– Work in freezer environments as needed
– Navigate stairs multiple times a day
– Prepare food and beverages according to recipes and presentation guidelines
– Ensure accuracy in food and beverage packaging for delivery
– Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
– Receive and store inventory, ensuring compliance with expiration date requirements
– Keep the kitchen organized and minimize waste through careful preparation
– Prepare, package, and hand off orders

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or GED
– Previous experience in retail or food service is a plus, but not required
– Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
– Basic knowledge of web-based applications (e.g., Google G-Suite)
– Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
– Ability to lift up to 49 pounds

Pay:

– Compensation is based on local market rates and may vary by location
– Chicago, IL Pay Rate: $16.85/hour
