Role Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Social Media and Community Manager who blends creativity with data-driven thinking, thrives in a fast-paced startup setting, and is deeply passionate about using social media to connect people with essential reproductive health services.
In this role, you’ll lead strategy and execution across key platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and more. You’ll be responsible for content planning, creation, and publishing—including designing graphics, filming and editing videos, appearing on camera, and writing captions. You’ll also analyze performance data and adjust strategies accordingly. Additionally, you’ll lead our influencer and community engagement programs, using partnerships to creatively expand our reach.
The ideal candidate is passionate about social media and its evolving landscape, has a keen eye for impactful content, is skilled in performance tracking, and excels at managing multiple projects with a continuous improvement mindset.

You Are:
– A strong, enthusiastic communicator with 5+ years of experience in social media and community management
– Skilled at understanding and leveraging platform-specific trends, features, best practices, and updates
– Experienced in following brand guidelines, managing editorial calendars, writing scripts and captions, and overseeing influencer programs
– Results-oriented and open to feedback
– Self-sufficient and dependable in meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks
– Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-moving startup environment
– Passionate about reproductive rights and excited to be part of a mission-driven team transforming healthcare
You Will:
– Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to shape and execute our social media strategy aligned with growth and business goals
– Create compelling content (visuals, videos, captions) that educates and engages audiences on topics like abortion and reproductive care across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, and YouTube
– Build and manage our influencer and community programs, including content creators, partners, and initiatives like the Un-Whisper Network and campus ambassadors, ensuring alignment with our brand
– Monitor, analyze, and report on performance metrics weekly, monthly, and quarterly—identifying trends and opportunities to optimize our approach
– Represent Hey Jane’s voice by responding to messages and comments and engaging with other accounts
– Stay up to date on social media trends, news, and influencers, and find creative, brand-appropriate ways to incorporate them into our content
– Work closely with the marketing team and other departments to align efforts
– Be a thoughtful and impactful storyteller during this crucial time for reproductive care
Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 annually, plus equity
