HQ: West Palm Beach, Florida, United States

  • OFF: Anywhere in the World
  • Full-Time
  • Sales and Marketing

As a Social Media Specialist at WPForms, you’ll be instrumental in expanding our brand visibility, fostering community, and boosting engagement across our social channels.

We’re seeking someone to take full ownership of our social media strategy—from planning and content creation to publishing, engaging with followers, and analyzing results. You’ll work closely with our marketing and product teams to promote launches, support content initiatives, and find innovative ways to help WPForms stand out.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a remote, asynchronous setting, enjoys experimenting with different content formats (especially video), and understands what connects with WordPress users and small business audiences. You’ll have creative freedom, along with the responsibility to build a social presence that delivers real growth and impact.

To thrive in this role, you are:

– A proactive self-starter who takes initiative and acts on opportunities.
– Deeply curious about online engagement and always ahead of trends and algorithm changes.
– A creative storyteller with strong writing skills and a knack for visual and video content.
– Analytical and iterative—you treat social media as a craft, not a checklist.
– Focused on meaningful growth, building community and brand loyalty.
– Skilled with AI tools to streamline tasks and enhance creativity.
– Comfortable juggling roles—strategist, creator, editor, and community manager.
– Open to feedback and committed to improving your work and supporting your team.

Key responsibilities include:

– Managing WPForms’ presence on platforms like X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.
– Creating content that aligns with product launches, campaigns, and community discussions.
– Being camera-ready and able to produce and edit engaging video content.
– Writing compelling copy for posts, captions, and video scripts in a consistent brand voice.
– Using analytics to refine content and posting strategies.
– Collaborating with internal teams to promote updates and initiatives.
– Engaging with users through comments, DMs, and community conversations.
– Running experiments to increase reach, engagement, and conversions.
– Leveraging AI tools for content creation, trend tracking, and competitor analysis.
– Maintaining a content calendar for consistent, strategic posting.
– Staying current with platform updates, trends, and algorithm changes.
– Monitoring brand sentiment and flagging important feedback or risks.
– Reporting on KPIs and sharing insights with the broader team.

Requirements:

– 3+ years of experience managing or growing social media for a SaaS, WordPress product, startup, or digital brand.
– Excellent writing and editing skills with platform-specific fluency.
– Proven ability to create and optimize content across major platforms.
– Comfortable with short-form video and understanding what drives performance.
– Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics or native platform insights.
– Knowledge of WordPress or willingness to learn quickly.
– Proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT, Notion AI, or Descript.
– Experience using project management tools like Asana.
– Strong communication and prioritization skills in a remote, async environment.
– Data-driven mindset with a passion for measuring and improving results.
– Professional-level English (written and spoken).
– Reliable personal computer and internet connection.
– Availability for async check-ins and some live collaboration between 9AM–5PM ET.

Bonus points for:

– Experience managing social media for a WordPress plugin or theme.
– Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, or Metricool.
– Graphic design or video editing skills using tools like Canva, Figma, or CapCut.
– A personal or professional social media presence with growth experimentation.
– SEO and content marketing knowledge.
– Experience working in fully remote, async teams.
– Familiarity with tools like Slack, Notion, or Asana.
– Experience running paid social campaigns or boosting organic content.
