As a Spanish Translation Curriculum Writer, you will be instrumental in creating educational materials that support meaningful learning for Spanish-speaking students. Your responsibilities will include translating, adapting, and developing curriculum content in Spanish, ensuring it is accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with academic standards. You will work closely with subject matter experts, educators, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality Spanish-language curriculum resources.
Responsibilities
– Translate educational materials from English to Spanish with precision and clarity.
– Adapt content to ensure it is culturally appropriate and relevant for Spanish-speaking learners.
– Collaborate with curriculum teams to develop original Spanish-language educational content.
– Ensure all materials align with applicable educational standards and learning goals.
– Review translated and adapted content for linguistic accuracy, coherence, and instructional quality.
– Stay informed on trends in education, language use, and curriculum development in Spanish-speaking regions.
– Work with subject matter experts, educators, and curriculum designers to incorporate feedback and improve materials.
– Manage project timelines and communicate any challenges proactively.
– Keep detailed records of translation and adaptation processes to maintain consistency and support future use.
– Participate in professional development to enhance language skills, teaching knowledge, and curriculum writing abilities.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
– Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, with a strong grasp of cultural nuances.
– Demonstrated experience in translating and adapting educational materials, ideally within curriculum development.
– Knowledge of educational standards and learning objectives in Spanish-speaking areas.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
– Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
– $25 per hour
– Compensation may vary based on location, experience, seniority, and performance during the interview process.
