In this role, you will help enhance AI speech recognition technology by providing audio recordings that represent a wide range of accents, genders, and ages.

What You’ll Do
You’ll use your smartphone in a quiet setting to record 20 wake words and one unique sentence, each delivered in different styles such as slow, fast, loud, and soft.

Requirements
• English speakers with an English-Arabic accent; all recordings will be in English.
• Must be living in Saudi Arabia.
• A smartphone (iOS or Android) with a working microphone.
• Access to a quiet environment.
• A stable internet connection for uploading files.
• Ability to follow the recording instructions precisely.

Payment Details
• Earn $8.75 after completing all 21 recordings.
• At least 95 percent of your submissions must pass the quality check to qualify for payment.
• Recordings that fail to meet the 95 percent threshold will not be paid.

1. Apply to Project Sayra.
2. Read and sign the consent form.
3. Fill out the demographic questionnaire.
4. Verify your identity.
5. Complete onboarding and begin recording.

Important Notes
• Select English as your primary language when applying.
• Enrollment is first come, first served, so early applications have an advantage.
• Demographic quotas are in place to maintain balance. If your category is full, you may not receive this task, but you will be invited to participate in other Appen opportunities.
