Join Xero’s growing Transfer Pricing team and help shape its direction. We’re creating a collaborative, high‑performing group focused on delivering practical and effective transfer pricing solutions. In this role, you’ll partner with leaders across the business and functions, reporting to the GM of Transfer Pricing, to implement strategies that meet commercial, regulatory, and tax requirements.
What you’ll do
• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining global transfer pricing policies and procedures
• Lead transfer pricing planning and risk assessment projects to identify and reduce tax risks
• Provide financial modelling and data analysis for new business launches, restructures, and new transfer pricing policies
• Stay informed on regulatory developments and industry trends to ensure compliance and reduce risk
• Manage transfer pricing audits and resolve matters with tax authorities
• Drive the creation, execution, documentation, and review of transfer pricing policies, including intercompany agreements, benchmarking analyses, and regulatory submissions
• Oversee local compliance in key jurisdictions and support projects, audits, and dispute resolution
• Deliver accurate and timely transfer pricing information for financial reporting
• Assess how transfer pricing policies affect financial performance
• Support ongoing enhancements to the Group’s transfer pricing processes and governance
• Review transfer pricing calculations and contribute to the development of governance and reporting frameworks
What you’ll bring
• At least seven years of relevant tax experience in a large corporate environment or within a Big 4 firm
• CA / CPA qualification or a legal background
• Transfer pricing expertise, or strong tax or accounting experience with some exposure to transfer pricing and a desire to develop further in this area
• Solid financial skills, including understanding of financial statements, transfer pricing methods, or financial modelling, with strong capability in at least one of these areas
• Comfort with financial systems (ERP), data analysis tools, and an understanding of how technology can improve processes
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to varied audiences and work effectively with cross‑functional teams and external partners
• The ability to link financial analysis with business strategy and provide recommendations that enhance transfer pricing outcomes and support business goals
