User Research Lead for Subscriptions

We partner with teams across Business, Product, Design and Tech throughout the entire user journey, from onboarding and activating new users to keeping existing ones engaged through valuable product experiences and services. As part of our Product Insights team, you’ll join a group of driven and passionate experts in User Research, Data Science and Analytics Engineering. You will champion the user perspective across projects by understanding their needs and behaviors, working closely with stakeholders to spark new ideas throughout the user journey, and offering key input to shape meaningful, relevant products and experiences. This is a highly influential role where you and your teammates will directly affect how millions of Spotify users are supported worldwide.

What You’ll Do
• Spot research opportunities that address critical business questions and guide new value propositions, product enhancements or innovation across the user journey.
• Design, plan and carry out comprehensive research initiatives to reveal user needs and behaviors.
• Provide fresh, impactful insights brought to life through clear storytelling in ongoing conversations, presentations and workshops.
• Use evaluative frameworks to support evidence-based decisions in product and design.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders to drive meaningful impact and turn insights into product improvements, new features and business strategies. Measure how research influences business outcomes.

Who You Are
• Have 5+ years of experience in user research, with strong skills in exploratory and evaluative qualitative methods.
• Hold a degree in Psychology, Human Computer Interaction or a related field, and/or possess relevant professional experience.
• Confident in planning, prioritizing, conducting, analyzing and communicating research in various contexts.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and easily connect with partners in product, tech, business and design.
• A committed advocate for user-centered, evidence-based product development, while balancing business priorities.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and international setting.
• Passionate about developing your expertise in qualitative user research and contributing to its growth at Spotify.

Where You’ll Be
• This role is located in Stockholm, Sweden.
• We offer flexible working options so you can work where you’re most effective. While some in-person meetings are required, you will still have the freedom to work from home.
