What we’re looking for
Desired education:
– Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, ideally in art, design, web design, or a related field
General knowledge:
– Familiarity with web design conventions
– Understanding of UX, web standards, optimization, and best practices
– Strong HTML5 and CSS3 skills
– Basic PHP/MySQL knowledge
– Experience with open‑source CMS platforms such as WordPress
– Knowledge of responsive design standards
Experience:
– Strong written and spoken English; resumes must be submitted in English
– At least one year of web design experience (two or more preferred)
– A compelling portfolio demonstrating successful web design work
– Proficiency in Photoshop
– Ability to build modern CSS layouts quickly
Qualities:
– Able to take direction but also make decisions independently
– Passion for typography and color theory
– Keeps up with new web technologies
– Professional, reliable, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated
– Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high quality
– Enthusiasm for web design, functionality, and user experience

What you’ll do
Responsibilities:
– Work on more than 60 projects per year
– Create prototypes for homepages, interior pages, and other layouts
– Design and build responsive websites
– Theme WordPress builds while developers handle custom functionality
– Create infographics, landing pages, display ads, social branding, and UX projects
– Develop A/B tests
Work breakdown:
– 35% designing homepage and interior prototypes using Adobe Creative Suite
– 25% helping build and launch websites using HTML, CSS, and PHP
– 25% implementing site enhancements in CMS platforms like WordPress
– 15% producing digital ads, social media branding, and content marketing materials such as infographics
Job submission requirements:
– At least three URLs of websites you designed
– Resume
– Portfolio or PDF with additional samples
Compensation:
– Negotiable based on experience
– Annual merit‑based raises
Working hours:
Asia (Philippines / Indonesia):
– Required overlap: 3:30 AM to 12:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday
Africa / Europe (Ghana, UK, Ireland, Kenya, etc.):
– Required overlap: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday
– South Africa follows a separate schedule for in‑office staff
North America / South America:
– Required overlap: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday
– Guatemala follows a separate schedule for in‑office staff
